In “The Knave of Knives – The Duchess of Dawn”, Off-Leash Area invites the audience to enter a dreamlike, unsettling, and absurd world where two strange and haunting figures from an Otherworldly Court engage in a fantastical struggle for power over the multiverse. Inspired by string theory and populated with stuffed animals, the show takes place in an immersive installation surrounding both stage and audience, tracing the fragile threads of time and space to unearth a clandestine karmic history.
Our Garage:
Born of necessity, and leading to numerous memorable and lauded original shows and community programs, like A Cupboard Full of Hate(2005), and Philip Guston Standing on His Head Standing Philip Guston On His Head (2002), and our ongoing Neighborhood Garage Tour - this is the heart of Twin Cities DIY innovation.
Admission is by suggested donation, seating is limited to approximately 40 seats, and the Garage fills up fast! Stick around afterwards for popcorn, drinks, and conversation by the fire.
Our Garage is actually the artistic directors’ 2-car garage, retrofitted with a 20ft x 10ft stage and seating for 40, which has been the incubator for some of OLA’s most critically acclaimed and popular works.
